Unit 6
The century and a half from 1750 to 1900 was dominated by revolutions both political and economic in nature. The enlightenment ushered in a time of political change in many of the European powers. The ideas of the enlightenment and the revolutions it caused gave rise to new nations, such as the United States and Haiti, while at the same time reorganizing older orders. Some revolutions would cause far more destruction and change than those that started them could have foreseen. The events of this unit will help shape the modern world we recognize today.
